Who We Are
Volunteers of America Colorado (VOAC) is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need transform their lives. Through more than 50 distinct human service programs, VOAC changes the lives of over nearly 100,000 people in-need each year. VOAC’s services include housing and emergency shelters, hunger and nutrition services, and many other community support programs. Our work touches the mind, body and heart of those we serve by integrating compassion into our highly-effective programs and services that build and strengthen communities.
What We Do
Volunteer with Volunteers Of America Colorado
Minimum Age: 18+ (Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
Volunteer Opportunity Available: Volunteers will serve lunch, sort clothing, make hygiene kits and help with various cleaning tasks.

What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes, a hat
Volunteer with Volunteers Of America Colorado Yard Angels/Snow Buddies
Minimum Age: 18+ (13+ when accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Volunteer Opportunity Available: Volunteers will help with mowing grass, pulling weeds and trimming bushes; in the winter volunteers will help shovel driveways and walkways
Timeframe: Mondays, Thursdays; Morning, Afternoon
Tuesdays, Wednesdays; Morning

What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes, gloves, water bottle
Volunteer with Meals on Wheels
Minimum Age: 18+ (anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Volunteer Opportunity Available: Volunteers will deliver lunch to seniors in the area
Timeframe: Mondays-Saturdays; Morning, Midday
Location: Varies across Denver
Additional Requirements: Volunteers must use their own car, have a valid drivers license, submit a volunteer application and complete a background check.
