Who We Are

The mission of the Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) is to increase food security for underserved populations in North King County through nutritious meals, educational programs, and advocacy. Our vision is Nutritious food that is accessible to everyone in our community. Join us in making some delicious and nutritious foods.

What We Do


Volunteer to Help Pack Shelf Stable Food

Minimum Age: All ages welcome, anyone under 14 must accompanied by a parent/guardian

Volunteer Opportunity Available: Volunteers will help pack shelf stable food into bags

Timeframe: Wednesdays; afternoon
Days/Times are subject to change; check out the Hunger Intervention Program's calendar for updated events.

What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes, volunteer paperwork

Additional Requirements: Background Check for those over 18

 


Volunteer to Help Serve Meals to Seniors

Minimum Age: 16+

Volunteer Opportunity Available: Volunteers will help serve and package meals for seniors

Timeframe: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays; Morning and Midday

Minimum Age: 18+

Volunteer Opportunities Available: Volunteers will help prepare meals

Timeframe: Mondays-Fridays; Morning, Afternoon

What to Bring: Close toed shoes, hair tie for long hair and water
